Peace (?) Time

These pages honor those who served with the 7th Engineers during times of (relative) peace, from the end of WW1 through it's many active/inactive  periods to the last deactivation in (Dec 92 or March 1993 - depending on source) at Fort Polk, Louisiana, when it was reflagged as part of the 2nd Armored Division and moved to Ft Hood, TX. The 2nd Armor was then reflagged in Dec 95 as the 4th Infantry Division. Ironically, the 5th ID was reflagged as the 4th ID when the 5th was deactivated in 1970! The 4th Engineer Battalion is still based at Ft. Carson, Colorado (as of Sep 2000).
Essayons!
